I have shewn your letter of the
2nd inst. as to the Hong Kong scheme to
Sir G. Fiddes, with some suggestions as to
prices for selling silver and buying rupea se-
curities. Re says, however, that he is not
enamoured of the scheme in any circumstan-
ces and certainly not at present when the
price of silver 13 jumping about in a spas-
modio way, and that it had better be dropped.
